Last Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar Ascended the Throne

On September 28, 1837, Bahadur Shah Zafar II ascended the Mughal throne, Akbar Shah was opposed Bahadur Shah Zafar to becoming emperor because Mumtaz Begum encouraged him to make Mirza Jahangir his heir. Luckily, Zafar's succession was prepared and company expelled Prince Jahangir for attacking the English in the Red Fort and Bahadur Shah Zafar ascended the Mughal throne.

The emperor's authority was confined to the Red Fort, so it wasn't simple for the emperor because British military controlled the situation completely. For emperors, they were providing a fixed amount as an income, and pension. The business had even taken over the ability to produce currency, thus Mughal rule over India was an illusion.

He was ascended to the throne gently and received the customary salutations, like the customary huzurs. Since then, a complete durbar has been convened, and the Palace is now calm. The First War of Independence began in 1857, twenty years after Zafar had come to power.
The rebellion of 1857 was the most significant moment that occurred during his rule. The Indian populace worked tirelessly to liberate their nation from foreign rule. From Meerut, where sepoy rebelled, the uprising spread to Delhi. They recognized Bahadur Shah Zafar as the ruler of India, who also swore loyalty to them. The emperor appointed his son Mirza Mughal as the supreme military commander.
Despite the extreme chaos, the British were able to put an end to the uprising. Major William Hudson caught Bahadur Shah Zafar after he sought refuge in the Humayun's tomb. His sons Mirza Mughal, Mirza Khizzer Sultan, and grandson Mirza Abu Bakar were all put to death the very next day. Having been banished to Rangoon, Bahadur Shah himself passed away there in 1862 at the age of 87. Consequently, the Mughal rule in India came to an end.
In his court, there are more writers and poets than warriors since Zafar was not only an enthusiastic poet himself but also a patron of literature, the arts, and poetry. Ibrahim Zauq and Mirza Ghalib were the two individuals at court who were most revered for their artistic and poetic works.
